Joke Master/ Table Topics Master機智問答

You are requested to REVIEW A Toastmaster Wears Many Hats Roles of a Member in your Toastmaster & You kit before the meeting.

 

If you decide to have a Variety Session, instead of the Joke Session, please tell the VPE in advance for the agenda.

Write down the names of all the participants in your session on the whiteboard during the session.

Invite as many people as time allowed. At the end of the session, remind the audience to vote for the best speaker, and thank all the participants.

Then welcome back the Toastmaster of the Evening.

Joke Master

Joke session10-15 minutesis usually scheduled in the first half of the meeting, served as the appetizer, to warm up the meeting with laugher. Before the meeting, you are suggested to invite 3-5 members to prepare in advance to share their jokes. You as the joke master are recommended to have a few jokes ready to fill up the gap.

Briefly state the purpose of this session: Served as the appetizer to warm up the meeting with laughter. Both guests and members are welcome to share their jokes.

Table Topics Master

Table Topics session15-20 minutesis usually in the first half of the meeting.

You are suggested to briefly state the purpose of the Table Topics session

 - Every member speaks at a meeting

 - To have members think on their feet and speak for a minute or so

Before the session, make a name list of those who do not have assignment, nor did they participate in the joke session.

State your questions briefly,Avoid long or too complicated questions. Avoid racial, religions, sex, and privacy topics. Current events are good topics.then call on a respondent.

Ask one question to one member or a pair of members at the same time. There should be at least 5 members to be called upon. Prepare more questions then needed is recommended.

 

機智問答的訓練是TM訓練的一部份,機智問答其原本的英文為TopicMasters.

換句話說就是訓練我們對任何突如其來的議題能夠抓住它的主題侃侃而談,沒有機智問答的訓練,就不能稱為TM訓練。

機智問答的目的:讓所有社友能夠參與每一次的會議,並且從機智問答中獲取經驗。

機智問答的教育目標:

1)在事先沒有準備的情況下,能夠表達對聽眾有益的理念意見。

2)應用技巧及說服力,去說明自己對一件事情真正的想法。

3)培養在各種環境下,應用自身的智慧,呈現當機立斷的真力。

機智問答主持人的工作及方法:

1)整個過程時間以不超過三十分鐘為限。

2)設定回答的使用時間為三分鐘,用不完三分鐘的回答也要站滿三分鐘,以使潛能發揮。

3)可從社會上的任何現象去設計富有教育性、啟發性的問題,而這些問題回答者或多或少都有些概念,以免讓回答者受窘。

4)對於回答者,避免冗長的問題介紹,因為主持人的任務僅是將問題稍作解釋,來啟發回答者的思考。

5)可先提出問題,造成整場的壓力,亦可偶而先點回答者,偶而也可點另外一位重複回答,運用之妙在乎個人。

6)所有答問完畢後,機智問答主持人可將答案重點做一分半至二分鐘的總結或評論,但須避免人身攻擊。
